Flying Lanterns


Flying Lanterns , or Khoom Fay as they are known in the Asian culture, come from a Chinese tradition of sending your worries away in a burning bubble up to the sky where they would get lost.

They are usually placed next to the fireworks the the Chinese new year celebrations, when after the amazing and colorful fireworks where over these peaceful bubbles of light would fly up to the sky.

One of the most spectacular moments in the Chinese New Year's eve is when thousands of people light up and fly their flying lanterns which produce a unique vision of thousands of bubbles of light going up to the sky, these flying lanterns can fly up to 1,000 m.
